Tomáš leads the SIRET research group and his research interests span multimedia retrieval, similarity search and database systems. He has been involved in a number of basic- and applied research projects and also in contracted research for private companies. He teaches courses on multimedia retrieval and web search. He was supervisor of many bachelor and master theses as well as supervisor of 8 successfully defended PhD students.
