Our team won the Video Browser Showdown 2026 with the interactive video search system PraK V4

The Video Browser Showdown is an international competition in interactive video retrieval, held annually at the International Conference on Multimedia Modeling. Participating teams search for specific video segments in a shared dataset under the same time constraints and evaluation conditions.

The winning system was developed by Bastian Jäckl, Benjamin Verner, Michael Stroh, Vojtěch Kloda, Ladislav Nagy, Oliver Deussen, Daniel A. Keim, and Jakub Lokoč. The result reflects a long-term collaboration between Charles University and the University of Konstanz in visual analytics, multimedia retrieval, and interactive search.
