Introduction

The XML and Web Engineering Research Group (XRG) is a research group of the Department of Software Engineering at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

The group focuses on various aspects of Web technologies such as modeling of XML applications and systems, evolution and change management of applications, statistical analysis of real-world data, inference of XML schemas, storage strategies for XML data, similarity of XML data, XML benchmarking.

Recently, we have extended our focus to Linked Data research, dataset creation, graph databases and data provenance as a part of the Opendata.cz initiative.
