Motto: Za mlhou hustou tak, že by se dala krájet...

The Web Semantization Research Group (SemWeX) informally started to work some 5 years ago. In autumn 2008 the group was created as a result of previous numerous brainstormings and seminars on topics related to semantic web and XML technologies. The group is devoted to all aspects of automating web processing.

Currently the objectives of the group are as follows:

  • Research and development of the idea of global semantization (understood as a process of increasing the degree of automation of web processing)
  • Interconnecting various research areas of group members, ranging from information extraction, semantic repository, querying to user preferences
  • Experimental evaluation of formal and theoretic results, prototype development and proof of concept
