Industry cooperation

As a part of the teaching process, we cooperate with major software industry companies to offer close interconnection of teaching and practice. Depending on circumstances, student projects and visits in specific technology environments, course materials for such technologies, and other offers are available. An alphabetical listing of selected companies follows.

IBM

IBM offers cooperation within the framework of the IBM Academic Initiative, providing among other things numerous teaching materials, more information here.

To a small number of selected students, IBM Czech Republic offers project work in its Prague software division. Each student is assigned a technical mentor, who guides the student in the work on a precisely specified project. Project topics are related to process management, software engineering, service architectures, content management, all in relationship to IBM products such as WebSphere, Rational, Tivoli, see a list here.

Sun offers cooperation within the framework of the Sun Academic Initiative, providing among other things numerous teaching materials and certificate discounts, more information here.

To a small number of selected students, Sun Czech Republic offers project work in its Solaris and NetBeans teams in Prague, the projects focus on these two Sun products. The project work can be credited in some lectures.
