The conference venue is located in the historical city centre, in the area called Lesser Town (Mala Strana), so it could be a nice walk from your hotel if it is somewhere nearby (e.g. from the Old Town or from Hradcany). Prague has a good public transport, a tram stop "Malostranske namesti" of lines 12, 20 and 22 is right in front of the faculty building. You can also take Metro (underground) line A to the station "Malostranska" and then either go one stop by tram to the stop "Malostranske namesti" or walk there through Letenska street (less than 10 minutes). Of course, you can always take a taxi, just say the address "Malostranske namesti, Charles University".
